Direct answer: Match an excavator attachment with both carrier specifications and interface measurements. Ton class is only the first filter; pin diameter, pin centers, internal width, hydraulic GPM/PSI, case-drain needs, and the machine’s lift chart must also agree.

Measure the attachment interface

  1. Pin diameter: measure across the widest part of the pin with a suitable caliper.
  2. Pin center-to-center: measure from the center of the front pin to the center of the rear pin.
  3. Internal width: measure the clear distance between the attachment ears or the receiving width stated for the coupler.
  4. Pin length and retention: confirm overall pin length, usable length, and the retaining method.
  5. Geometry: compare the stick, linkage, lug profile, and coupler instructions—not just the excavator model name.

For replacement pins, record the diameter and overall length of the existing part, then compare the available sizes on the excavator pin page.
