Excavator attachment buyer guide
Choose excavator attachments by machine class, pin size and job type
Excavator attachments need more fitment detail than most equipment purchases. Use this guide to check pin dimensions, coupler style, machine weight class, hydraulic requirements, freight planning and the job you need the attachment to perform before ordering.

Fitment checklist
- Confirm excavator make, model, operating weight and machine class.
- Measure pin diameter, stick width, bucket ear width and pin center-to-center spacing.
- Identify direct pin-on, wedge coupler, hydraulic coupler, quick coupler or custom mount requirements.
- For hydraulic tools, confirm flow, pressure, line size and whether a case drain is required.
- Match attachment weight to the machine’s lift chart and intended reach.
Common buying mistakes
- Ordering by machine brand only instead of measuring the pin and ear dimensions.
- Assuming every coupler uses the same pickup geometry.
- Buying a hydraulic breaker, mower or auger without checking hydraulic flow and pressure.
- Ignoring attachment weight when working at reach or on uneven ground.
- Not planning unloading equipment for freight delivery.
Shipping and pickup
- Most orders over $1,000 qualify for free freight; loading docks, loading ramps and bridges are excluded.
- Eligible local pickup orders over $1,000 save $200 at checkout.
- Some oversized, special-order or LTL-exception items may require separate freight confirmation.
- Pickup is available from Cliffhouse Buildings in Gravois Mills, Missouri.

Excavator attachment FAQs
What dimensions do I need for excavator attachment fitment?
Start with pin diameter, stick width, bucket ear width and pin center-to-center spacing. Coupler type and machine model are also important.
Do hydraulic attachments need special checks?
Yes. Breakers, mowers, augers and other powered tools must match hydraulic flow, pressure, hose size and return-line or case-drain requirements.
Can I order if I am not sure about pin size?
Ask for fitment help first. Send photos and measurements so CHB can help confirm the correct attachment or pin option before checkout.
Do excavator attachments ship freight?
Most heavy excavator attachments require freight delivery or local pickup. Many orders over $1,000 qualify for free freight unless excluded.
